GMAI Presents Workshop “Directing the Actor”

FUNGLODE’s Global
Media Arts Institute (GMAI) is offering an innovative workshop on the
Stanislavsky system of acting. “Directing the Actor” will emphasize the
exploration of human emotions. The workshop will begin today, February 9,
at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo and will continue until February
13.
“Directing the Actor” is targeted towards students studying directing,
directors of soap operas and television series, and professional actors
with experience in film, television and/or theater. Class instruction will
be provided by Corina Mestre.
GMAI is dedicated to providing up-and-coming professionals in the
television and film industry with comprehensive instruction in the latest
trends in audiovisual production, as part of its overall mission to expand
the multimedia industry of the Dominican Republic.
The Institute seeks to play a key role in the development of a highly
qualified Dominican audiovisual industry that significantly contributes to
the economic development, competitiveness and modernization of the nation.
