This film will also be shown on Saturday. Gómez’s film won the Special Jury Award at the Havana International Film Festival and the Award for the Best Direction of a Short Film by a Woman at the Cinema Pobre of Humberto Solas. This year, 2010, Dominican students at the EICTV were Argenis Mills, who specialized in directing; Amelia del Mar Hernández, who specialized in screen writing and César Zayas who studied to be a director of photography. The GMAI offers a scholarship program for Dominican students to be able to attend regular training courses at the EICTV, a film school that has developed an intense program of collaboration throughout the entire year. The International Film and TV School of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV), considered to be one of the most important institutions of its kind in the world, has been working with FUNGLODE since 2006.
