and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE)

Miss Daisy, directed by Bruce Beresford. The 1989 film featuring Morgan
Freeman, Jessica Tandy and Dan Aykroyd depicts the evolving relationship
between an elderly Jewish woman and her African-American chauffer over the
course of two decades. Set in Atlanta, Georgia in the ‘50s and ‘60s, the
film takes a close look at the racial and religious prejudices that pervaded
American society during this time.
The event is being coordinated in partnership with the United States Embassy
and the Fulbright Program. The screening will be followed by a question and
answer session with representatives from the United States Embassy and the
Fulbright Program.
